Abstract

Hamid region entered under the domination of Hamidogullari, which was founded in 1297, with the collapsing period of Turkey Seljuk State. The region, which was dominated by Hamidogullari for nearly a century, was taken under the domination of the Ottoman state by Yildirim Bayezid in 1391. It was destroyed by Timur in Ankara War in 1402 but it was connected to the Anatolian beylerbeyli with the name Hamid as an Isparta centered Sanjak in the first half of the 15th century. After a long time, it was included in the province of Konya immediately after the 1864 Provincial Regulation. The book numbered 5220 in meshikhat of The Ottoman Archives of the Prime Minister's Office includes important data about the crime cases, security issues and their penalties in the last quarter of the 19th century. The crime issues in the Hamid sanjak between 1873 and 1881 in this book consist of cases such as harming individual freedom and disrupting the social peace. In addition, the penalties given to the criminals, in the framework of the criminal laws prepared after the Tanzimat period, are like rowing and imprisonment, and only the duration of punishment changes.
