Investıgatıon Of Problem Solvıng Skılls Of Pre-School And Prımary Teacher Candıdates
The aim of this study is to investigate the problem solving skills of pre-school teacher candidates and primary teacher candidates who are studying in the classroom teaching department. The survey was used as a data collection tool. The survey used consists of two parts. In the first part of the survey, personal information form prepared by the researcher and problem solving inventory scale (PSI) were used in the second part. In the study, the survey applications were made to pre-school teacher education of Fırat University and primary teacher candidates in the department of Primary School Teaching. A total of 388 people participated in our study. In order to determine the difference between the age variable and the points obtained from the “Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) Scale” in the analysis of the research data, “one-way analysis of variance (anova test)” was used to determine the difference between gender and department variable and the scores obtained from the scale. T-test was used and 0.05 significance level was chosen for statistical significance. As a result of the research, it was concluded that teacher candidates' problem solving levels were high but this did not differ in the variables.
