Vıews on Todays World Issues and Todays World Issues Course of The Prospectıve Teachers of The Socıal Studıes Programme
Basic qualitative research design was preferred in this research which objects to seek the awareness of prospective teachers in Turkey about today’s world issues. The study group is 4th year students of the Department of Social Studies Education. The data collected by a semi-structured interview form were subjected to descriptive analysis. According to Analysis findings; At the same time, the most common problems that participants have learned about world issues are that they want to be "part of the solution" on the problems of the Earth; Environmental problems, nuclear energy, health problems and imperialism. According to Other findings; the most important problem of today's world is global warming, the participants want to produce solutions for the most significant environmental problem.
