Maqrizi as a Historian of Religions in the 15th Century
Makrizi is one of the great historians, who was studied in the medieval Islamic world and is belonging to the school of Ibn Khaldun. He wrote in many areas, especially history. In our study, moving from the work of al-Maqrizi called al-Khitat, we have identified the information given about the religion of Judaism and Christianity and specified the method followed by Makrizi. As a result, he has given valuable information about religions in his book in descriptive method and avoided from comparisons and reviews as much as possible.
