Arguments About Women And Marriage In II. Constitutional Era İdea Movements
During The II. Constitutional Era of Ottoman, the provisional freedom atmosphere all over the Empire led so many issues to be discussed which had been social problems so far. One of them was women’s losing their social statuses and trying to survive under out dated traditions. The Intelligentsia of this period weren’t insusceptible about this socially detrimental issue and tried to provide solutions through their ideological perspective.
In this study, the most press occupying subject matters are tried to be analysed, e.g.; the reasons of Ottoman women’s being isolated in society, inconvenience of blind dating ,(arranged marriages) what should be the position of women in a marriage, are polygamy marriages requisite or not
