Abstract
Bir devletin resmî ideolojisinin yetiştirmek istediği insan profilinin en iyi anlaşılacağı alan eğitimdir. Eğitim sistemi içerisinde ders kitapları, çocukların sosyalleşme sürecinde kritik bir rol oynama potansiyeline sahiptir. Ders kitapları resmî ideolojinin somut ve geniş bir alanda değerlendirilmesine olanak sağlar. Bu olanak ve imkânın en iyi anlaşılacağı ders kitaplarından biri, sahip olduğu içeriğinden dolayı kimlik ve kişilik belirleyen sosyal bilgiler ders kitabıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı İran sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında kullanılan görsellerde kadın imajının nasıl verildiğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında İran’da okutulan 3. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabı nitel araştırma tekniklerinden doküman incelemesi ile ele alınmıştır. İran 3. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında kullanılan görseller içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular 5 başlık altında toplanmıştır. Araştırmada İran 3. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında genellikle geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine uygun bir kadın imajı çizildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Kitapta kullanılan görsellerde hem kız çocuğu hem de yetişkin kadın profilinin bu doğrultuda verildiği saptanmıştır. Araştırmada daha önce İran ders kitaplarına yönelik yapılan araştırmalara göre çok azda olsa kadın lehine birkaç gelişmenin olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
Education is the best field to understand the human profile which the official ideology of a state aims to shape. Textbooks among other educational materials have a potential critical role for the socialization of children. Textbooks enable official ideologies to be examined in a solid and large context. Social Studies textbooks are one of the most important textbooks with the potential and possible critical role. Because they are determinants of identity and character owing to their content. This study aims to exhibit how women’s image is stated in pictures in social studies textbooks of Iran. In line with this aim, Iran’s 3rd-grade social studies textbook for the 2022-2023 academic year is examined with document analysis among qualitative research techniques. Pictures in Iran’s 3rd-grade social studies textbook are examined with content analysis. Evidence of this study is listed under 5 titles. It was conducted that in Iran’s 3rd-grade social studies textbook, women’s image is presented analogous with traditional social gender roles. It is determined that in the pictures in the book, both little girls and grown women are presented parallel with this. It was conducted from this research that there is some progress in favor of women, albeit very little, compared to previous research on Iran's textbooks.
