“SEVGİ BİR KUŞ” ADLI ÇOCUK DERGİSİNİN SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİ ÖĞRETİM PROGRAMI’NDA YER ALAN DEĞERLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, “Sevgi Bir Kuş” adlı çocuk dergisini 2018 Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programı’nda (SBDÖP) yer alan değerler açısından incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programı’ndaki 18 değerin hangilerinin ne kadar sıklıkta yer aldığı, belirlenen değerlerin derginin sayılarına göre dağılımı ve değerlerin alt kategorilere göre dağılımı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada doküman incelemesi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Çalışmada ilgili çocuk dergisinin toplam 8 sayısında yer alan metinler incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veriler “Değer İnceleme Formu” ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yoluyla çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre dergide en çok sevgi, aile birliğine önem verme ve vatanseverlik değerine yer verildiği belirlenmiştir. En az ise bağımsızlık, adalet ve dürüstlük değeri ön plana çıkmıştır. Derginin sayılarına bakıldığında değer ifadelerine en çok yedinci sayıda yer verilmiştir. Dergide en çok yer verilen değer olan sevgi değerinin aile bireylerini sevmek, insanları sevmek, içinden gelerek sevmek gibi alt kategorilerinin yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında “Sevgi Bir Kuş” adlı çocuk dergisinin sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde değerler eğitimi kapsamında kullanılmasının yararlı olacağı önerilmiştir.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the children's magazine "Sevgi Bir Kuş" (Love is a Bird) in terms of the values in the 2018 social studies curriculum (SCCP). For this purpose, the frequency of the 18 values in the social studies curriculum, the distribution of the determined values according to the numbers of the magazine and the distribution of the values according to subcategories were investigated. Document analysis method was used in the study. In the study, the texts in a total of 8 issues of the relevant children's magazine were analysed. The data were collected with the "Value Analysis Form". The data obtained were analysed through content analysis. According to the results obtained from the study, it was determined that the values of love, giving importance to family unity and patriotism were mostly included in the magazine. The values of independence, justice and honesty were emphasised the least. When the issues of the magazine were analysed, value expressions were mostly included in the seventh issue. It was determined that the value of love, which was the most common value in the magazine, had subcategories such as loving family members, loving people, and loving from within. In the light of the results obtained from the research, it was suggested that it would be useful to use the children's magazine named "Love is a Bird" within the scope of values education in social studies teaching.
