Abstract
Yer adı bilimi, yer adlarının kaynağını ve dağılımını inceleyen ad biliminin alt dalıdır. İnsanlar tarih boyunca yaşadıkları çevrenin adlarını önemli sayıp bunlara gelişigüzel adlar vermemişlerdir. Bölge coğrafyasının fiziksel özelliklerini, renk adlarını ve yörede yaşamış aile, boy, kişi isimlerini düşünerek yaşadıkları yerleri adlandırmışlardır. Yer adları bir bölgenin tarihini, kültürünü ve coğrafyasını anlamada önemli bir rol oynar. Yöre toplumunun değerleri ve gelenekleri hakkında bilgiler verir. Coğrafya, dil bilimi, tarih, sosyoloji ve kültürel çalışmaların unsurlarını birleştirerek disiplinler arası bir alan ortaya çıkarır. Cumhuriyetle birlikte bu alanda çalışmalar başlasa da bugün yer adlarının incelenmediği yörelerin sayısı oldukça fazladır. Ülkemizin kültürel değerlerini korumak, tarihini diri tutmak için bu tür çalışmaların sayısının artırılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada Burdur’un Çeltikçi ilçesindeki yer adları incelenmiştir. Çeltikçi, Burdur’un güneydoğusunda yer alan il merkezine 31 km uzaklıkta bir ilçedir. Çalışmada ilçenin Türkiye Mülki İdare Bölümler Envanterinde kayıtlı köy, mahalle, bulvar, sokak, cadde adları ile 1/25000 ölçekli harita paftalarındaki tepe, sırt, dere, çeşme, kuyu, harabe, pınar, mevki adları belirlenmiştir. Yörede yapılan derlemelerde kaynak kişilerden tespit edilen köprü, mağara, çeşme, dere, mevki adları da çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Bunlar leksik-semantik ve yapısal özellikleriyle tasnif edilmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeye göre yörede 334 yer adı tespit edilmiştir. Leksik-semantik açıdan 28 alt başlığı mevcuttur. Bunlar içinde en fazla 58 örnekle Bazı Coğrafi Unsur veya Nesne Adlarının Özellikleri ile Oluşturulmuş Yer Adları gelmektedir. Biçimsel açıdan en çok birleşik yapılı yer adları bulunmaktadır. 156 yer adı birleşik yapıdadır. Köken yönüyle ise en fazla Türkçe kelimeler yer adı olarak verilmiştir. Sadece kelimelerin kökeni dikkate alındığında 342 kelimenin Türkçe kökenli olduğu görülür.

Abstract
Toponymy is a sub-branch of onomastics that studies the origin and distribution of place names. Throughout history, people have considered the names of the environment they lived in important and have not given them random names. They have named the places they lived in by considering the physical characteristics of the geography of the region, the names of colors, and the names of families, tribes, and people who lived in the region. Toponyms play an important role in understanding the history, culture, and geography of a region. They provide information about the values and traditions of the local society. It combines elements of geography, linguistics, history, sociology and cultural studies to create an interdisciplinary field. Although studies in this field began with the Republic, the number of regions where place names have not been studied is quite high today. In order to protect the cultural values of our country and keep its history alive, the number of such studies should be increased. In this study, place names in the Çeltikçi district of Burdur were examined. Çeltikçi is a district located in the southeast of Burdur, 31 km away from the city center. In the study, the names of villages, neighborhoods, boulevards, streets and avenues registered in the Inventory of Civil Administration Departments of Türkiye and the names of hills, ridges, streams, fountains, wells, ruins, springs and locations on 1/25000 scale map sheets were determined. The names of bridges, caves, fountains, streams and locations identified from source persons in the compilations made in the region were also included in the study. These are classified according to their lexical-semantic and structural features. According to the evaluation, 334 place names were identified in the region. There are 28 subheadings in terms of lexical-semantic. Among these, the most common is Place Names Created with the Features of Some Geographical Elements or Object Names with 58 examples. In terms of form, the most compound place names are there. 156 place names are compound. In terms of origin, the most Turkish words are given as place names. When only the origin of the words is taken into consideration, it is seen that 342 words are of Turkish origin.
