Oroonoko ya da Asil Köle ve İnce Memed İsimli Eserlerde Zulüm, Direniş ve Başkaldırı

Abstract
Hiyerarşik toplumlarda, sosyal piramidin üst tarafından alt katmanlara dikte edilen yaşam tarzı ve kurallar karşısındaki tutumlar, toplumsal yapının dinamiklerini belirlemektedir. Zulmün karşısında pasif kalma, direnme, başkaldırma gibi tutumlar söz konusu iken, bu davranışlara karşılık, zulmün artması, direnişin sindirilmesi veya başarıya ulaşması mümkündür. Tüm bunlar toplumları nesiller sonra bile etkileyecek sonuçlara yol açar. Bu çalışmada, Oroonoko ya da Asil Köle ve İnce Memed serisinin ilk kitabında ana karakterlerin baskı ve zulüm karşısındaki tutumları incelenmektedir. Eserlerin mekânları ve yazıldıkları dönemler göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, farklı zaman dilimlerinde ve farklı coğrafyalarda, karakterleri baskı altına alan ve onların kaderlerine yön vermeye çalışan güçler karşısında, iki karakterin de pasif veya aktif direniş sergilediği görülmektedir. Oroonoko’nun sömürgeci düzene karşı kölelik koşullarında verdiği mücadele ile Memed’in feodal düzene karşı halk adına giriştiği başkaldırı, tematik olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Zülüm karşısında canları pahasına direnen Oroonoko ve Memed’in farklı coğrafyalarda ve zaman dilimlerinde direniş sebepleri ve biçimleri, karşılaştırmalı edebiyat bağlamında analiz edilecektir.

Abstract
In hierarchical societies, attitudes towards the lifestyle and rules dictated by the upper echelons of the social pyramid to the lower strata determine the dynamics of the social structure. When it comes to attitudes such as passivity, resistance, or rebellion in the face of oppression, these behaviours may result in increased oppression, the suppression of resistance, or success. All of these lead to consequences that will affect societies for generations to come. In this study, the attitudes of the main characters towards oppression and tyranny in Oroonoko or The Noble Slave and the first book of the İnce Memed series are examined. Considering the settings of the works and the periods in which they were written, it is evident that both characters exhibit passive or active resistance against the forces that oppress them and attempt to determine their destinies in different periods and geographical areas. Oroonoko’s struggle against the colonial order under conditions of slavery and Memed’s rebellion against the feudal order on behalf of the people are evaluated thematically. The reasons and forms of resistance of Oroonoko and Memed, who resisted oppression at the cost of their lives in different geographical areas and periods, will be analysed in the context of comparative literature.
