In this work as epic theater example are analyzed how cultural adaptation of linguistic items such as idioms, dilemmas, and slang expressions are realized. Since the aim is to show that the translation is the language and the language that guides the language is the culture as well, it has not been examined at the level of equivalence; On the contrary, it has been tried to focus on how purposeful and functional of the source text is in the target language and culture. According to the comparative analysis, the work has been successfully translated by the translator. These islands are referred to as Didymos-Didymae-Didymoi in the sources giving information about the maritime of the Ancient era. These islands were a stopping point for ships attempting to reach the nearby port of Magarsus / Mallos in antiquity. There are some remains on the islands that support this. In medieval times, they were mediating the maritime expeditions from Karatas to various settlements along the Mediterranean coast. The function of the islands is not limited to these. Plain Cilicia has very few rocky formations that can be obtained as building material. The limestone structure of the islands caused the production of cut stone building material from the islands for use in the region's structures. No extensive studies have been done on the islands until today. Banu HÜLÜR In this study, we discuss the relations between residents and Syrian asylum seekers living in Antep and Kilis cities in terms of the concepts of residency, strangerness and marginality. In the framework of the theoretical discussions in the literature, we reasses the data obtained from our field research in Antep and Kilis to understand the relations between asylum seekers and residents. The first section of the study focuses on the relations between host and stranger, second section is interested in the theoritical discussions around social type of “stanger”. The third section of the study embraces “marginal man”. Study population of the research includes 60 grade 7 students studying in Kadınhanı District of Konya Province. Frequency, percentage, t test and anova tests were conducted on the data which were obtained through worksheets and the collected results were interpreted. According to these results, it was observed that students were at the very low, low and moderate levels with 78% in total in expressing and using the meanings of the proverbs and the idioms which were included in the course book. It was determined that there was a meaningful difference on behalf of female students in terms of expressing the meaning and using it in a sentence.
