The purpose of this study is to analyse the perceptions of the social studies teacher candidates about kutül amare war through the analysis of metaphors. The data of the research were collected from 150 teacher candidates(1.2.3. and 4. grades) who continue in their social studies program. The participants were asked to answer questions such as “Kutül Amare war is like ….. .Because …” by using metaphors. These metaphors they produced and their logical bases formed the basic data source of the research. While resolving the data collected from the candidates, descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques were used. All the metaphors produced and their reasons were analysed, their common qualities were identified and the themes which are thought as the representatives of those metaphors were formed. In the light of the data obtained it is understood that social studies teacher candidates could produce 61 valid metaphors about kutül amare war. These metaphors were evaluated within 6 themes. Those are; “kutül amare war as a big victory won” “kutül amare war as a desire tol live independently” “kutül amare war as a struggle” “kutül amare war as the history information” “kutül amare war as a demolition “ kutül amare war as a hope”. As a result of the study, among the metaphors produced by the candidates “kutül amare war as a big victory won” took the first place. The excessive and diversive use of metaphors is the result of students’ having an enhanced cognition about kutül amare war.

Saldjukid period is one of the most active periods of Turkish history. This mobility has also manifested itself in the context of political ambitions and struggles for reign. Since there was no system of succession registered in the Turkish tradition by law, in the struggles between rulers and successors, different methods have been applied apart from eliminating the rivals with a battle. Killing the opponent with poison in order to obtain the reign was seen as one of the most definitive solutions in this process. Because of the incitement of some state officials, this situation which occurred between father, son and brothers adversely affected survivability of the state when it was in strongest age, and even caused interregnum periods. The method of killing with poison is the most common disposal method in the competition not only among dynastic members but also between statesmen. For this reason, focusing on these events will reveal the criminal map of the Saldjukid period to a great extent. In this article, it will be tried to put forth the details, procedures and principles of assassinations with poison in Saldjukids age.

Beyond being an international question of the status of the Ottoman Empire, it was The Eastern Question that determined the course of diplomacy towards the Ottoman Empire throughout the nineteenth century William E. Gladstone was a cult figure in British Victorian party politics so as Sultan Abdulhamid II ruled the Ottoman Empire for 33 years. When Gladstone came to power in 1880, it can be argued that theoretically the Eastern Crisis had already ended. However, there is a clear sense that the expectation as to the commitments of his speeches concerning the Ottoman Empire was substantially high. On the other hand, Abdulhamid was now more experienced in governing his Empire since the Treaty of Berlin with the circumstances of the diplomacy he was surrounded. Seen in this light, it would be essential for the scope of this research to draw parallels between the perceptions of two statesmen who basically determined the course of the Anglo-Ottoman relations.

The legends of Sadd-i Iskandar and the Great Wall of China appeared chiefly in the middle ages, despite the fact that their actual foundations were not built in that time. For centuries, the literature on Sadd-i Iskandar has been unavoidably enhanced by some contributions of Judaism, Christianism and Islam. However, this triple impact would help Alexander get further away from its real character, rather than the elimination of uncertainty. Quite the contrary, the medieval resources about the Great Wall were so limited that this would be challenged although it is more realistic than Sadd-i Iskandar. The richness of the literature on Sadd-i Iskandar, despite its complexity, and the silence of the resources on Great Wall of China have kept the interest alive in the both walls.

The traces of the first human in the Eastern Anatolia Region goes back to the Palaeolithic Age. Due to the hard conditions of the period, the first people in this region could only consume the wild fruits and benefit from the roots of some plants. However, in the later stages of the Palaeolithic Age, significant changes occurred in the socio-cultural structure of the region after environmental and climatic conditions became appropriate in Eastern Anatolia. Hunting and foraging, for example, turned into one of the indispensable livelihoods of daily life. In addition, in the Neolithic Age, the fertile obsidian resources found in the Mountainous East Anatolia had high effect on inter-regional trade. With the beginning of the Bronze Age, the semi-nomadic tribal style groups living via animal husbandry started to play an important role in the socio-economic structure of the region. The tribal-style structures that emerged in the region began to turn into the local political forces called Uruadri and Nairi towards the end of the Bronze Ages. The policies and military policies developed by the local politic forces called Uruadri and Nairi against the Assyrian attacks shaped the socio-economic structure of the region at the Early Iron Age.

The Great Attack is an important war took place between the Turkish and Greek armies in the western Anatolia on from August 26 to September 18, 1922. As a result of the Great Attack, the Western Anatolia was liberated from Greek occupation by the Turkish Army. The Turkish Victory was joyfully welcomed in the whole of Turkey and the other Islam World being bondage under the colonial empires. What was the attitude of the Middle East being the majority of people were Muslim the process of Great Attack? The answer to this question is important. Most of the Middle East lands remained under the administration of the Ottoman Empire for many years. But a part of the Middle Eastern peoples rebelled against the Ottoman Empire with the propaganda of the Allies at the end of the First World War. The Allies didn’t fulfil their promises at the end of the war. They add their colonial territories instead of giving freedom to the people of the Middle East. This development was the Middle East had a positive perception towards Turkey while causing reaction against the Allied forces. Muslim peoples of the Middle East supported Turkey fighting to liberate the occupied territories. They done cash(nakdi) and in-kind(ayni) assistance to the Turks and prayed in mosques for the final victory of the Turks. Many victory rallies were made in the geographies of the Middle East such as Iran, Syria, Egypt, Beirut, Cyprus, and Iraq with the victory of the Turks and taken congratulatory telegrams from these places to TBMM.In this study will be try to be enlightened reflections of the Great Attack in the Middle East by utilizing the state archival documents, the newspaper and the minutes of the first Turkish Grand National Assembly.
