Abstract

Mycobacterium leprae is caused by microbes is as old as human history. Although this disease has been expressed in different languages in different languages over time but its effects that people leave in both their bodies and their spiritual structures are not so different from each other. No matter what it is expressed, perhaps it has not been seen a disease that makes human beings as busy as this disease in history. Medieval Europe is also one of the places where this disease takes place. In Europe, medieval Europe was struggling to treat the leprosy and a number of measures were taken. However, although labor has been used for the treatment of the disease at this time, it has not been possible to exceed the suffering of the lepers in the recent times. And the questions such as “Did the lepers influence only the person who has been under control in the Middle Ages in Europe, or did it bring about social problems at the frequency of sightings?”, “How much did the fear of spreading the disease harm human values?” have prompted us to investigate this issue. In this study, We will also seek answers to our questions about the effects of leprosy, both in the medieval Europe and as well as on the course and treatment of medieval Europe.
