Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and high school quality of life perceptions in adolescents. For this purpose, 518 students studying in high schools in Yakutiye district of Erzurum province in 2018-2019 academic year have been reached by simple random sampling method. This research was done in relational survey model. In this research, "Academic Self-Efficacy Scale" and High School Life Quality Scale" were used as data collection tools. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 package program. According to the results of this research, it was determined that the general self-efficacy beliefs of adolescents are at the level of “suits me” and the perceptions of quality of high school life are at the level of “I partially agree”. There was a weak and positive significant relationship between academic self-efficacy and perceptions of quality of high school life in adolescents. In addition, it was determined that the variables of both "teachers" and "status" together were significant predictors of academic self-efficacy. Care can be taken to establish relationships based on love and respect among school stakeholders so that students are pleased and happy with their school. School administrators, teachers and parents of students should support their words and actions that they believe students will succeed academically if they work systematically.
