Abstract
Genelde yıkım ve tahribat ile anılan Moğolların bu tahripkar tutumlarının ardından hakimiyet kurdukları Yakın-Doğu coğrafyasında kültüre ve bilme kayda değer katkılar sağladıkları da bilinen bir gerçektir. Daha Hülâgü ile başlayan ilme destek verme süreci her hükümdar devrinde artarak ve gelişerek devam etmiş İlhanlıların son dönemlerinde ise en olgun seviyesine ulaşmıştır. Özellikle İslamiyet’in resmi din olarak kabul edildiği Gâzân Han döneminde köklü gelişmeler yaşanmıştı. Olcâytû Han döneminde ise İlhanlıların eğitim politikasında köklü değişimlere gidilmiş bu bağlamda pek çok girişimde de bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
It is a fact that Mongols, who are generally remembered with the destruction and havoc they brought, following their destructive attitudes provided remarkable contribution to the culture and science in the Near Eastern geography they ruled over. Beginning with Hülâgü, the process of sponsoring the scientific activities continued to increase and flourish and reached its peak at the last period of the Ilkhanids. Especially during the reign of Gâzân Khan in which Islam was adopted as the official religion essential developments were experienced. During the reign of Olcâytû Khan radical changes were applied in the education policy of the Ilkhanids and in this context many initiatives were undertook.
