Abstract
İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski olan şiddet, birey ve toplum üzerinde önemli bir korku ve tedirginlik oluşturmaktadır. Zaman zaman çok farklı türlerde meydana gelen şiddet olaylarına maruz kalan toplumlar ve şiddet eylemlerine maruz kalan insanlar ciddi şekilde sarsılmaktadırlar. Bu nedenle şiddet olgusu, toplumların en önemli sorunları arasında yer almaktadır. Tüm dünyada giderek artması nedeniyle şiddet, önemli bir toplumsal duyarlılığa yol açmış, hemen hemen bütün dünyada konuyla ilgili araştırma ve önleme çalışmaları yürütülmeye başlanmıştır. Şiddeti uygulayan sosyal bir varlık olan insandır. İnsan, yaşadığı toplum içerisinde potansiyel olarak aynı anda hem barış hem de şiddet ortamı oluşturma eğilimine sahip bir varlıktır. İnsanın sahip olduğu bu potansiyeli barış ve huzur dolu bir dünyanın oluşmasına katkı sağlayabilecek şekilde geliştirmesi için ailede verilecek dini ve ahlaki değerlerin etkisi büyüktür. Ailede verilecek dini ve ahlaki değerleri benimseyen ve özümseyen, kısaca içselleştiren bireyler, yaratılana karşı sevgi, saygı, merhamet gibi dinin temel değerlerini bilirler. Böylece hem kendilerine hem de topluma karşı görev ve sorumluluklarının bilinciyle barış ve huzur ortamının oluşmasında aktif rol oynarlar. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada ailede verilen dini ve ahlaki değerlerin toplumsal bir sorun olan şiddetin önlenmesindeki rolüne dikkat çekilmiştir.

Abstract
Violence, which is as old as the history of humanity, creates an important fear and uneasiness on the individual and society. Societies and people who are exposed to violent acts of various kinds from time to time are severely shaken. For this reason, the phenomenon of violence is among the most important problems of societies. Due to its increasing frequency all over the world, violence has caused an important social sensitivity, and research and prevention studies on the subject have begun to be carried out almost all over the world. It is a human being who is a social being who perpetrates violence. Man is an entity that has the tendency to potentially create an environment of peace and violence at the same time in the society he lives in. In order for people to develop this potential in a way that can contribute to the formation of a peaceful and peaceful world, the religious and moral values that will be given in the family have a great effect. Individuals who adopt and internalize the religious and moral values to be given in the family know the basic values of religion such as love, respect and mercy towards the created. Thus, they play an active role in the creation of an environment of peace and tranquility with the awareness of their duties and responsibilities towards both themselves and the society. From this point of view, in this study, attention was drawn to the role of religious and moral values in the family in preventing violence, which is a social problem.
