Shirin Neshat’ın Eserlerinde Feminizm ve Sanatın Uyumluğu: De Beauvoir'in Feminist Teorisi ile Shirin Neshat’ın Fotoğraf Çalışmalarının Karşılaştırmalı İncelenmesi

Abstract
21. yüzyılın başlarından itibaren, kadının toplumdaki konumu ve kadına yönelik baskılar, bakış açıalrı ve görüşleri sanat camiası ve sanat teorisyenleri arasında odak noktası haline gelmesiyle birlikte yeni bir harekettin ortaya çıkmasına neden oldu. Bu bağlamda Simone de Beauvoir'ın “İkinci Seks” başlıklı bir kitap yazarak dünyanın Feminist lideri haline gelerek ortaya koyduğu fikirler ve varoluşçu teorileriyle Feminist teorisinin zirveye ulşamasına neden oldu. Bu sayede feminist teorinin gelişmesiyle birlikte kadın sanatçılar, sanat tarihinde kadının konumu, kadın ve erkek sanatçıların eserleri arasındaki farklar ve aynı zamanda günümüzün farklı kadın sanatçıları gibi konularda sorular sorarak sanatsal pratiklerine yön vermelerine neden oldular. Ortaya çıkan bu nedenler sayesinde dünya Çağdaş bir sanatçı olarak Şirin Neshat şu anda bu hareketin zirvesinde durmasıyla ve yansıttığı fikirleriyle birlikte de Beauvoir'nın düşüncesinden uzak olmadığı görülmektedir. Simone de Beauvoir'ın fikir ve kavramları Şirin Neshat'ın sanat eseri olarak yarattığı imgeler üzerinde ne ölçüde etkili olmuştur? Bu iki bakış açısı arasında anlamlı bir kavramsal bağlantı var mı? makalenin problemini oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, Simone de Beauvoir'ın ifadeleri arasındaki benzerlikleri bulmak amacıyla kütüphane belgeleri ve Şirin Neshat'ın görsel sanatlar eserine başvurularak karşılaştırmalı bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Simone de Beauvoir'ın varoluşçu teorilerini takip ederek, kadınlar ve onların toplumdaki konumları hakkında eleştirel ve feminist bir bakış açısını sürdürdüğü sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract
From the beginning of the 21st century, a new movement has started within the members of artistic communities and the theorists which were taking into focus the presentation of their viewpoints and opinions that was indeed regarding the condition of women and the oppression against them. It is the very same Feminist theory, peaked by the ideas and existentialist theories of Simone de Beauvoir as he became the Feminist leader of the world by authoring a book titled: “Second Sex”. Along with the growth of Feminist theory, female artists have oriented their artistic practice by asking questions on the following topics: the position of women in the art history, the difference between the works of art by female and male artists, different female artists of the world. As a contemporary artist, Shirin Neshat is now standing at the peak of this movement and her ideas are not far from de Beauvoir. The question is that, to what extent the ideas and notions of Simone de Beauvoir were impactful on the images that Shirin Neshat has created as her work of art? Is there a meaningful conceptual link between these two points of view? In this research, a comparative study will be done by referring to library documents and the work of visual arts by Shirin Neshat in order to find affinities between their statements. Shirin maintaining a critical and feminist view about women and their standing in the society, following Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist theories.
